The Clean Energy Advisory Board was created to establish a pilot program for disbursing loans or rebates for the installation of solar energy. In 2021 HB 1834 was passed into law which created several legal requirements for utilities and localities to report on and prepare for facility closures. Additionally, it requires Virginia Energy to provide information to the public listing the facilities subject to these requirements and their anticipated closure dates.
