Virginia Energy's Clean Energy Workforce Programs expand availability of and access to specialized training in clean energy careers. Through industry-recognized certifications and collaborations, these programs equip energy workforce professionals with the skills necessary to support clean energy projects across Virginia.

Our Goals are To:


Train Workers for In-Demand Careers

  1. Collaborate with technical schools, community colleges, labor organizations, and industry experts to align training with market needs and clean energy technologies.
  2. Incorporate apprenticeships and mentorships to develop skills for nationally recognized certifications, leading to high-demand careers.
  3. Develop statewide systems to track labor market demand, training outcomes, and program impact.

Broaden Access to Clean Energy Career Pathways

  1. Support training environments that are responsive to learners and adaptable to industry shifts in Virginia.
  2. Provide support services, and financial assistance to remove barriers to participation.
