VEConnect Overview, Mission, and Goals

Overview

Virginia Energy Connect ("VEConnect") is Virginia's central hub for energy incentive information. VEConnect curates and simplifies information about energy efficiency, solar, energy storage, and electric vehicle incentives available to Virginia residents and businesses. The platform includes an action-oriented website and dedicated outreach through trained Energy Ambassadors.

Mission

VEConnect aims to increase Virginians' use of available incentives for energy improvements that can lower their energy bills, improve home comfort, enhance resilience to grid outages, and promote an increasingly clean energy system.

Goals

Enhance Understanding: Educate consumers and contractors about the benefits of energy improvements.

Boost Awareness: Increase awareness of available incentives, including combating misinformation about incentives.

Simplify Navigation: Make it easier to navigate program requirements and application processes.

Promote Participation: Encourage participation among households with high energy burden and thus high potential benefits from energy improvements.

VEConnect
