This report includes lithologic descriptions of 28 exposures of the Aquia and Nanjemoy formation sediments in the western Virginia Coastal Plain. These sediments are composed quartz sand, clay, shell and glauconite and had been mined for use as a natural fertilizer. Chemical analysis is given for 5 samples. Fossil pelecypods, gastropods and more than 30 species of Foraminifera are identified. Out-of-print.
