by Henry G. Ferguson, 7 x 10-inch soft-cover book, 19 pages, 3 figures, 1918. This bulletin was published in order to serve direct attention to the development of tin deposits from cassiterite-bearing veins in the Irish Creek district in Rockbridge County. The report was completed during a time when the United Sates was completely dependent upon foreign countries for its supply of tin and a domestic source was urgently needed. The report concluded that cassiterite-bearing veins do not appear to be continuous for long distances along strike and the tin content is very irregular. Some specimens of high grade ore indicate the veins may be workable and new veins may perhaps be discovered in the future. Out-of-print.
