This report and the accompanying maps portray and describe the stratigraphy, structure, and economic geology of the Hylas and Midlothian 7.5-minute quadrangles (portions of Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, and Powhatan counties) with cross-sections. Piedmont metamorphic and igneous rocks, Richmond Basin sedimentary rocks, and recent gravel and alluvium are mapped in the area.
