Chemical analyses were made by the U.S. Department of Energy, Geochemical Testing, Inc. and the U.S. Geological Survey. Values for proximate and ultimate analyses, forms of sulfur, heat value, fusibility of ash, free swelling index, major- minor- and trace-element concentrations in both ash and whole coal are tabulated.
