These quadrangles are located in Loudoun County in northern Virginia. They are within the Blue Ridge, Piedmont, and Valley and Ridge physiographic provinces. The bedrock in these quadrangles ranges from Precambrian to Triassic in age. Gneiss, alaskite, greenstone, and graywacke have all been quarried for crushed stone in the map area. Map includes cross-sections.
